ARS2024 New Rice Cooker Bottom Sensor – Designed to Solve Customer Challenges

Rice cookers were first introduced in the 1950s, and soon after, the rice cooker bottom sensor emerged. For a long time, however, these bottom sensors have been plagued by issues – they are difficult to automate, require extensive manual labor, demand large quantities of insulating sleeves, and make it challenging to ensure consistent product quality.
At the end of 2023, a technical expert from a rice cooker manufacturer visited ARLIN and raised this persistent problem, hoping we could design a product that is simple, safe, sensitive, and consistent in quality. Through in-depth discussions and on-site visits, we designed a new rice cooker bottom sensor in March 2024, named the ARS2024.
This new sensor leverages the insulating properties of ceramics by integrating ceramic and aluminum profiles into a metallized ceramic product, achieving safe insulation. It replaces the traditional combination of heat-shrink tubing, silicone tubes, high-temperature braided sleeves, grounding wires, and fixing brackets with a single metallized ceramic component. This design ensures consistent NTC mounting positions, sensitive response, compatibility with automated production, a simplified structure, and reduced installation costs for customers.
